Harris Fires Back At Democrats Claiming She’s Being Set Up To Fail

Despite criticisms from other Democrats that she was given an impossible portfolio by President Biden during their first year in office, Vice President Kamala Harris stated Sunday that she does not feel she is being set up to fail.

Harris was asked to respond to Democratic charges that the vice president is being handed a portfolio meant to work against her during a pre-recorded interview with CBS’s Margaret Brennan on “Face the Nation.” “No, I don’t believe I’m being set up to fail,” Harris countered.

Biden’s supporters have chastised Harris for placing her in charge of seemingly hopeless topics like the border crisis. “Her portfolio is trash,” CNN pundit and former Rep. Bakari Sellers said. “You give someone a portfolio that is not meant for them to succeed.”

A recent staff shuffle in Harris’s office has fuelled rumors of a terrible work climate, which have dogged the vice president since her inauguration.

Harris is a bully who subjected her staffers to a continual stream of soul-destroying criticism, according to a former staffer who worked for her before she became vice president, according to The Washington Post earlier this month.

Ashley Etienne, Harris’s communications director, and Symone Sanders, senior advisor to the vice president and chief spokesman, both announced their resignation recently. Other prominent employees of Harris’ administration are eyeing the exits, according to Politico.

The White House has played down the departures, with press secretary Jen Psaki claiming it’s normal  for people to want to move on.
