When he made a strange remark at a speech at the National Education Association’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., President Joe Biden baffled his supporters on Friday.
Prior to the crucial midterm elections, Biden was trying to counter Republican messaging when he interrupted his address to crack a joke.
Before beginning the rest of his remarks, he said, “But guess what, we got a lot to do. You gotta say hi to me. We go back a long way. She was 12, I was 30, but anyway, this woman helped me get an awful lot done, but anyway.”

Even while the union teachers in attendance smiled at the offensive joke, many people on social media likened it to past times when Biden displayed creepy or strange behavior.
In just a few hours, one video of Biden’s words had over 1.6 million views as commentators criticized him for the error.
A number of women have previously accused the Democrat of sexual harassment and abuse. The president’s unusual practice of sniffing women’s hair at public gatherings has also been brought up by detractors.
If Republicans took control of Congress after the November elections and passed the proposed legislation, Biden said, he would veto it.
“If Republicans win control of Congress, abortion will be banned. And by the way, it will be initially banned, but if they win Congress, I will veto it,” he insisted.
