Even though Jen “Circle Back” Psaki was the subject of many complaints from conservatives, at least she was generally knowledgeable and able to respond to inquiries. Even though her responses were infuriating, it was at least clear that she wasn’t just being a complete moron but rather was trying to support Biden and his administration.
Not the case with Karine “Ummm…” Jean-Pierre, who took Psaki’s place and is a much worse employee, as we saw firsthand during the press conference on Tuesday. At that news conference, KJP was questioned about her assertions that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was “unconscionable,” and a reporter responded by challenging her to address a child’s right to life.
“Why did the President decide to give today’s abortion speech in Washington, D.C., instead of a state like Michigan, where abortion is on the ballot, or in a state — Georgia, Ohio, or Pennsylvania — with a Senate candidate that’s locked in a very tight race?”
KJP answered, “So, he’s — look, for those who traveled with us the last — those four days that we were out West, he mentioned the national abortion ban, he mentioned what that could mean to women across the country if we allowed that to happen, if we allowed Senator Graham to move forward with such an extreme piece of legislation, and how Republicans are taking us backwards. So he has talked about that every time he is out there speaking directly to the American people to talk about what is at stake for Americans.Look, I don’t want to talk about — or I can’t talk about politics from here. I don’t want to get into — into that conversation. As you know, I’m limited on what I can say.”
The President will continue to discuss his historic support for reproductive rights, she added. And there is a noticeable variation in the methodology.
Codifying Roe will be the first bill the president sends to Congress. And around the time of the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, he will sign that. He is devoted to doing that. He is devoted to seeing that women’s rights are upheld.
What about the child’s right to life? was yelled out by a reporter in the back at that point, knocking her to the ground.
She quickly stopped responding to the inquiry and refused to provide an answer.
