WH Continues To Evade Questions Concerning Americans In Ukraine

When asked, the White House has remained tight-lipped about how many Americans are in Ukraine, despite a Friday warning that all Americans should leave within the next 24 to 48 hours as Russia prepares for an attack.

The Biden administration appears unwilling to say how many Americans are registered in Ukraine, and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan directed reporters’ questions to the US State Department. For more information, contact the State Department.

“If you stay, you’re taking a risk because there’s no guarantee that there would be another opportunity to go, and there’s no chance of a U.S. military evacuation in the event of a Russian invasion,” Sullivan said.

When asked about the data, the State Department referred Fox News to a January briefing from State Department Press Secretary Ned Price, who said, “We normally don’t provide numbers of U.S. citizens residing in or visiting to another nation.”

Price did, however, predict that based on information received from the American embassy in October, there may be somewhere between 6,000 and 16,000 American citizens in Ukraine, including tourists and visitors.

When questioned on the issue, the Biden Administration always responds with the same line about how difficult it is to track Americans in other countries because regular residents are not obligated to register with the US. Embassy.

In certain situations, people leave the country they came to visit without informing the embassy. However, statistics suggest that there are currently between 23,000 and 30,000 Americans in Ukraine.

The US administration has advised that all Americans escape as quickly as possible due to the potential of oncoming hostilities with Russia, and that the embassy may assist with logistics if needed. It was also stated that if an invasion occurs, Americans will be mostly on their own.
