Popular TikTok user Rachel Queen Burton, who openly acknowledged her identity as a transgender woman, was the focus of an alarming case lately. Burton was a child predator who operated under the cover of an online protected-class pseudonym.

During his most recent appearance in the Adelaide District Court, 44-year-old Burton of Coolalinga, Northern Territory, Australia, revealed the horrifying details of the crimes he had committed. The victims bravely shared their stories and exposed Burton’s predatory behavior.

Burton chased a family and repeatedly abused the two children before he started identifying as a woman. Despite their best efforts to escape, the man would not let up on his victims, and in the end, he left their family without a place to live.

Following his arrest in October 2022, Burton first refuted the allegations. However, he later pleaded guilty to the more serious counts of indecent assault, gross indecency, material creation, and possession of child exploitation material. The victims’ impact statements in court provided insight into the severe and long-lasting pain that Burton’s assault caused them and those they cherished.

Testimonies in court described the victims’ ongoing nightmares and other types of psychological torment. The smaller victim expressed her dissatisfaction and sense of helplessness, while the older sister suffered psychological harm from Burton’s horrifying acts while not being physically harmed.

The community, the relatives of the victims, and the court of public opinion all expressed their nearly unanimous condemnation in addition to the criminal court. Burton’s sentencing is scheduled for April. Burton was placed under arrest supervision at a men’s institution.

The terrible tale of Rachel Queen Burton brings to light the dangers people run when they use social media for malicious purposes. This event highlights how important it is to monitor internet forums closely and hold people accountable in order to safeguard vulnerable individuals—children in particular—from predators.

Burton had a sizable following on TikTok (more than 36,000) and over 418,000 “likes” on his videos. Burton allegedly declared his intention to begin hormone replacement treatment in a January 2022 TikTok video.
