Rohini Kosoglu, the domestic policy advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris, will leave the Vice President’s office in the coming month as part of a personnel exodus that began in December and continued into this year.

As David Nakamura of the left-leaning outlet pointed out, Kosoglu has worked for Harris since 2017, when she joined the office of then-Sen Harris (D-CA), making her one of the senator’s longest-serving assistants.

Kosuglo stated, “It’s been six years, and she understands that my family’s very much looking forward to this time, and that I will always be here should she need any trusted information or counsel. Even through this time period, she’s been an invaluable source of support and guidance to me to come to this decision.”

The vice president’s average favorability rating is only 38.7%, according to RealClearPolitics data, and the large number of departures from her inner circle has alarmed several Democrats.

Starting with former communications director Ashley Etienne, Harris’s assistants have been leaving in large numbers since December. Her departure in December after a CNN article from November that said there was tension between Harris’s personnel and President Joe Biden’s staffers barely 10 months into their term.

Symone Sanders, Vice President Kamala Harris’s press secretary and adviser, as well as Peter Velz, the former director of press operations who departed in January, shortly followed suit, as Breitbart News reported at the time. He declared that after leaving, he will immediately begin working for the US State Department’s protocol team.
