On January 20, a mother whose daughter, age 20, was brutally raped and killed by a juvenile gang member from El Salvador’s MS-13 filed a complaint against the Department of Homeland Security under the Biden administration.
Tammy Nobles has accused DHS officials of failing to stop the man who killed her daughter Kayla Hamilton as he was entering the nation, alleging that the federal government has been playing “Russian roulette” with American lives.
Nobles said in her $100 million complaint that by permitting the MS-13 gang member to enter the nation without providing identification, the Department of Health and Human Services and the DHS betrayed her 20-year-old daughter. She and another mother gave testimony before a congressional hearing on January 18, while they were trying to remove DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas from office.
He was accused by the two moms of not upholding federal immigration regulations, and Nobles told the panel that she hoped no other parent in the country would have to go through such a “nightmare.”
In a conversation with News Nation, Nobles asserted that both she and her attorney would not restrain their comments. She contended that none of the border officials fulfilled their responsibilities, alleging that they failed to verify the background of the MS-13 gang member. Nobles further stated that had federal agents conducted a thorough screening, they would have identified his affiliation with one of the most notorious criminal gangs in Latin America, thereby preventing his entry into the country.
Various accounts claim that in July 2022, her 20-year-old daughter was killed by strangulation after being sexually assaulted inside her trailer in Frederick, Maryland. She was reportedly staying with the gang member who had subleased the trailer from another undocumented immigrant residing in the neighborhood.
The culprit was apprehended by US officials in January 2023 following a DNA comparison with evidence discovered at the crime scene. The MS-13 gang member was accused of first-degree murder, rape, and robbery. Prior to the start of his trial on June 28, he is presently being imprisoned without being granted bail.
