Activists Attack US Constitution

Activists Arrested - They Went TOO FAR!!!

Conservatives have long cautioned about threats to the US Constitution, but the recent incident marks a particularly tangible danger. Climate activists have physically targeted the document, although it emerged unscathed. Nevertheless, this event reflects a concerning pattern of vandalism perpetrated by extreme environmentalists.

On February 14th, a pair of climate activists gained access to the National Archives Building in Washington, DC, and splattered red powder onto the enclosure safeguarding the original copy of the United States Constitution. Video footage captured the assailants positioned in front of the case, delivering a speech infused with social justice rhetoric.

These individuals appear to be affiliated with the radical organization Declare Emergency, advocating for President Biden to declare a climate emergency. Law enforcement swiftly apprehended both activists shortly after the incident.

The National Archives issued a statement verifying that the Constitution remained unharmed, yet acknowledged that their conservators are assessing any potential harm inflicted upon the Rotunda, the site of the assault. Subsequently, the Rotunda was shut down for cleaning on February 15th. There’s a growing trend among climate extremists to resort to vandalism targeting cultural artifacts, alongside their customary methods of obstructing roads and staging protests.

Just prior to the attack on the Constitution, two individuals associated with the Last Generation group affixed images of Botticelli’s renowned artwork “The Birth of Venus” at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. Similarly, on January 28th, another duo splashed soup onto the protective glass surrounding Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic “Mona Lisa” at the Louvre in Paris.

Frequently, the individuals behind these assaults have a history of similar offenses and have been released by lenient judges. According to an independent journalist, one of the individuals involved in the Constitution vandalism had been apprehended last November for vandalism at the National Gallery of Art, while the other was taken into custody on February 13th for obstructing traffic on the George Washington Parkway.
