The Son of God was depicted as genderqueer in an advertisement that the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland ran in an evil attempt to show its support for the LGBT community. The church issued an apology for the advertisement. After an understandably strong criticism, they have since made a complete about-face.
Petur Georg Markan, a media spokesperson for the church, defended the outreach as a necessary response to adjusting to the modern world, desecrating the Holy Trinity in the process. He has no values, in other terms.
“In one sense, we see Jesus who has breasts and a beard. We’re trying to embrace society as it is. We have all sorts of people and we need to train ourselves to talk about Jesus as being ‘all sorts’ in this context. Especially because it’s really important that each and every person see themselves in Jesus and that we don’t stagnate too much. That’s the essential message. So this is OK. It’s OK that Jesus has a beard and breasts,” Markan said.
The rationale from Markan is utterly nonsensical, aside from departing from the two thousand years of theological understanding and practical implementation designating Jesus as a man. It is difficult to see how the inclusion of a bearded, bosomy messiah appeals to the majority of people if the goal was to allow everyone to see themselves in the Messiah. Simply said, it has the opposite effect.
I somehow doubt they would have done this with Muhammad. pic.twitter.com/kiNRimnrtU

The Icelandic church made a meek apology after the much-needed outrage against the advertisement, saying, “The 2020 Assembly of the National Church regrets that the picture of Jesus in a Sunday school advertisement has hurt people. The goal was to emphasize diversity, not to hurt people or shock them.”
The pollution of Christianity is unique to the heinously brutal criticisms and destruction of religion, as one commenter on Twitter noted with justification. He makes the argument that it is inconceivable to think that the same artist would take such liberties with Mohammed in Islam.
